Relationship advice from Dawn Weston. If your bond is strong enough, the longer you're apart the better. Where's Mary in all of this? Are we to assume that an entire week has past with no meddling? Mary is leaving Dawn Weston to do her job?
Go, already, Wilbur. Don't let the door--or the hatchback--hit you on the saggy-bottomed jeans on the way out. We're rid of Iris, will soon wave goodbye to Wilbur, and we want a pool party and a new storyline to be disappointed in. (I wish there was a blog like this for "Judge Parker". They've introduced characters named Panini and Wurst. Just think what we could do with material like that!)
@fauxprof at 8:03 a.m., your comments started my day with a laugh - thank you! Maybe next week KM will whisk Mary off to NYC, where she will meet two cabbies named Muffuletta and Kielbasa.
Dawn is really giving the bum's rush to dear old dad. Does she have something up her sleeve? Were her project meetings at Cathy's house really yoga sessions at Harlan's?
Mary is too busy answering Wilbur's "Ask Wendy" column to weigh in on his situation. I see Dawn transitioning as a Meddle-ee-in-Training. She may be over at Mary's by tommorrow, sipping coffee, eating muffins, and marvelling over how she (Dawn) expressed what Mary would have said to Wilbur. That is, of course, if she isn't still standing in the driveway, waving at her dad, who will be grinding the clutch on the manual car he accidentally rented....That could be dragged out until Sunday.
Fauxprof, good eye on Wilbur's jeans (though the thought of focusing there creeps me out). I have some fashion advice for Wilbur on the cusp of his once-in-a-lifetime worldly jaunt: Lose the Mom Jeans!
Wilbur, you have some travelling experience. You should know by now that the TSA folks are going to notice that mysterious package you're trying to hide in your pants. I hope you're not smuggling drugs. That story arc would lead us back to Tommy and we just don't want to go there.

Reminds me of Dave.
