Goose 1: Here she comes...again... Goose 2: Sheesh, is she STILL in college? Goose 1: Let's make her drop her History 101 book. Goose 2: OK! 1...2...3...
This is likely the same park where Iris dumped Zak. As far as MW story lines go, I thought their romance, for lack of a better word, was one of the more interesting plots, and I thought Moy should have stayed with it longer.
But now that it's over, I don't want to see it start up again. So I hope Iris doesn't just happen to run into him on her little stroll. Even Mary wouldn't want to go through that again.
I actually hope Iris does run into Zak. She'll rush up to him, smiling and calling out his name, "Zak, Zak, I'm so happy to see you!" Zak will turn to her with a puzzled look on his face because he can't quite place her. He'll say that she looks so familiar and ask if she was his third grade teacher.
If Iris were ACTUALLY in "nature", I don't think it would look as manicured as a paved path through a newly mown lawn beside what looks like a man-made pond. June could have at least provided some pesky deer prancing around...
In nature, Santa Barbara gets about 17 inches of rain a year. Less than an inch of that falls from May through September. This week they had temperatures near 100 degrees. No green grass without LOTS of watering.

Better stick to the path, Iris, or you'll be in Canada Geese balm up to your shins.
Balm to soothe the soul? Thanks Thoreau. That path around Walden Pond leads right to another failed relationship.
Are we to believe Iris is going to get over the broken heart agree dreamed herself into all by herself?
Here and now, I'm more than ready for these geese to chase Iris. Honk honk honk!!
Today's Boldface Haiku is titled "Enter Harlan Jones, Nature Appreciator And Pontificator Of Wisdom".
Nature!
Balm!
Beauty.
Mary would advise her to swim to wash away her negative feelings (PAX resort story).

But it does have a beach.
Iris is having lots of second thoughts and depression - Wilbur, not so much! Woohoo! No more rescue story research either. Fun times.
Next, Iris will start seeing the flower fairies.
@Downpuppy: apparently so does Bogota
