"Gosh, Zak, what are you doing out here in nature?"
"Oh, I love nature. I do nature all the time. It beckons me to live in the here and now. It also helps me to be as predictable as possible, regardless of the odds. I mean what are the chances that we'd run into each here and now? I know, right?"

"Oh Iris, it is SO good to see you again! Hey listen, I have some literature I'd like to show you."

Excellent secret message, Wanders. Those two items are always useful with KM's plots.
Gee Iris, just about everyone on this blog yesterday recognized Zak. The stubble alone should have tipped you off. And Zak, the stubble coupled with the ill-fitting suit makes you look like you slept in your car, not that you've made it in the corporate world.
Today's Boldface Haiku is titled "THE MAN Gets To Zak".
Iris!
Zak?
Wow! Great to see you!
Same here! Recognize!
The Wilbur thought balloon just exploded in a burst of flames like the Hindenburg
So, when are Zak and Iris and Wilbur and Fabiana all going to get together and realize the striking dissimilarities in height, weight, age, etc. and pair off in a more suited fashion? Hope you like to baile, Zak!
Gee Moy, you should really write mystery thrillers. I'm sure none of us saw this crazy plot twist a mile away.
A haircut, a briefcase, a cheap suit from Value City (today’s Robert Hall, KitKat), and still with the scruffy hipster face stubble. That’s Zak, all grown up and ready to sell Iris a time-share in Cabo San Lucas.
All this talk about Robert Hall reminds me of the insidious permanence of advertising, as I still effortlessly remember the lyrics to this jungle from well over a half century ago:
"When the values go up, up, up
and the prices go down, down, down,
Robert Hall this season
will show you the reason:
Low overhead. Low overhead."
Nor can I forget that a Robert Hall employee was shot and killed during a robbery at the store on Rte 1 in Saugus, MA circa 1957.
Zak grew about 4 inches since they last met, or Iris is shrinking? So are Zak's friends making fun of Zak now that he is wearing a suit and got his hair cut? Or are they going to start making fun of Iris again?
Okay, I guess now that Zak has been brought back, I can stop picketing outside of Moy's apartment. Thanks, Moy! Just wish the colorist - whoever it is now that Roy is gone - would have gone with the original green eyes. Oh well....
"Iris, are you satisfied with your current vacuum cleaner? Have you ever considered upgrading to a Kirby?"
