The jeweler reminds me of Ike Godsey, general store keeper on The Waltons. BTW, Fabby's dress seems to have spawned some sort of chest ladder in between panels.
Fabiana's emerald is loudly saying, "Look at me! Green is good! I want friends- earrings, a necklace. I am lonely on your pointy finger!" Wilber, you deserve this completely, ya big dolt.
@ Chester the Dog: It runs in the family. Like dopey father, like dopey daughter
It looks like in panel 2 WIlbur's trying to shake Fabiana back into her senses. I want Fabiana to say "Take your filthy mayonaisse hands off of me and buy me the #@%&#*$ ring." Want to bet that not only does Fabiana walk out with that ring, but matching earrings and necklace. Wilbur's going to write a check to Senor Gilligan that's going to bounce like a rubber ball. Like those basketball players that shoplifted in China, he may need President Trump to intercede once they hall Wilbur off o jail on a bad check charge.
Ugh, I so hate KM's dialouge. Who in the world talks like Wibur??? "I promise you dear Fabiana..." who would even say that in a normal conversation. Ugh, I'm expecting MW to be a normal comic strip.
Is anyone else hearing Fabiana sounding like Sofia Veraga in their head?
Does Wilbur ever wear any other type of shirt than a polo? Anyway, judging from the length of his arm in Panel 2, if he ever does find himself in need of a dress shirt it most surely will have to be tailor made. Neck: 25" Sleeve: 12"
Enough with the "mi amor"! Is Moy pretending that she knows Spanish?
Fabiana looks Amazonian next to Wimpy Wilbur, so she can crush him like a bug if he balks at more jewelry. Speaking of which, this shop does not appear to be the Tiffany's of Bogota. The smug manager/clerk looks like he moonlights as a waiter, and the shop door had a tacky and askew "Abierto" sign in yesterday's strip.
Every day I wonder if any of the reCAPTCHA photos were taken in Colombia.
A balding older man enters a jewelers with a beautiful much younger woman- late on a Friday afternoon. Girlfriend selects a $50,000 ring. Jeweler says he can’t accept check because banks are closed. Man says, you hold onto the ring and the check; my bank can verify the check on Monday and we can pick up the ring then. Everyone is happy, and the girl snuggles up to the man as they leave the jewelers.
On Monday morning, the angry jeweler phoned the man: ‘’Sir, there’s no money in your account!!”
Older man: “I know, but let me tell you about my weekend!
What I've learned from recent MW storylines, using that term loosely, is that Moy is a big fan of "Modern Family." First, Derek Hoosier, modelled on Benjamin Bratt, and now Fabiana, clearly a Sofia Vergara knock-off. What's next? Dawn gives up on inappropriate older men and starts dating Manny (Rico Rodriguez)?
You know, I'm actually beginning to think that Wilbur will say, "No". So then Fabiana will leave him and then....what...he goes back to Iris?? Would she really be so stupid as to dump Zak? The plot thickens! Really, I can hardly wiat.

So what are Wilbur's "best intentions" for Fabiana? What does that even mean?
Wilbur ain't too smart...
Fabiana's emerald is loudly saying, "Look at me! Green is good! I want friends- earrings, a necklace. I am lonely on your pointy finger!"

Old joke, but pertinent:

...and in the background we hear, "and the dealer holds with 16."
It's crunch time, Señor Wilbur. The line has been drawn in the sand. Time to make the big decision. Are you a man or a mouse?
I'm guessing he asks Fabulosa to pass the cheese.
