I think Mary's "surprise" will be when Iris walks out from the kitchen with another tray of hamburgers and fries. She'll be wearing a dress. a string of pearls, and flowered apron.

Here are two scenarios I would like to see: Mary: “You are WELCOME, Wilbur! And that’s not all! I have a SURPRISE for you! ... ... I’ve ordered M&M McFlurries for dessert for all of us! ... I’ve gotten in touch with a friend of yours, and she’s traveled a long way to join us. It’s ... FABIANA!
I also love fauxprof’s idea (on the previous post) of Agitated Aggie from Pax Wellness showing up! That would really improve everyone’s mood!
Or, Regina Wolfe-Parks (on the previous post) might be right, and “Ian” is really an imposter. The surprise will be ... he’ll rip off his fake beard and wig and turn out to be ... ZAK!
I have to say, I can't stop looking at that parrot? can opener? Swiss Army knife? that Wilbur is clutching in his glass. Wanders, I'm really hoping it is a new shower radio because I DON'T want it to be Iris.
My hope for the big surprise: Mary introduces new residents at Charterstone, Fabiana and her cousin Pedro. Mary says they were able to make the move from Columbia to Charterstone after great luck prospecting for emeralds.

Mary’s surprise: She’s started a Go Fund Me page to raise money for hair plugs for Wilbur.

In casual conversation, who says "You are welcome"? Nobody. They say "You're welcome."
And I believe I'm right in saying that most people don't say, "I have a surprise for you." They say, "I've got a surprise for you."
We know Mary understands the concept of contractions, since she does drop a "that's" in there.
I wonder if Moy has ever talked to real people.
