Mary Worth 3006

I'm sorry for such erratic posting lately. I've been hiding in my shell. It's just that this story, after ten years of commenting on Mary Worth, has defeated me. I can't even pretend to like it. It is so dull that even I don't care. I'd rather shop for tires than post about this story, but I'm afraid I'd come home with a dog. I do see that the victory lap has started, and so there is hope.

If this story has been going on since August, how long is that in dog years?

Yes Wanders, this seems like “deja vu all over again”, remembering how disheartening the strip Apartment 3G became before it died a gasping slow death. I tried to enjoy its (formerly) campy energy and style, but eventually there was no “there” there. I only read Mary Worth for your (and the community here) comments, but it’s getting harder to have fun with it.

I've been in Uganda for two weeks. Somehow I'm not surprised this storyline is still alive. It almost makes me want a bout of malaria.

I can understand Wanders. It seems this story line has beaten the strongest of us, like Nance and Meg. It started out with promise (POOL PARTY!), then it degraded into Mary pushing her will on someone and winning. The third panel (which we aren't seeing) is Mary patting herself on the back while Toby glares at poor Greta.

I like how KM writes "After several weeks". Is that in dog years?

With shelter dogs, first comes the adjustment period. Then comes the confidence. Then comes the barking and tyranny. Rooting for you, Greta, find your voice!
