Seriously, if this turns into a really bitter, emotionally wounding, mutually recriminatory father-daughter snarkfest, that's the one thing that might actually revive a bit of my failing interest (if that's the right word) in this ENDLESS series of limp storylines about the woeful Westons and their current and ex- partners.
Dawn is stopping at an odd point. If her next sentence is "There are lots of women in Paris, and Hugo should enjoy himself", I will quit complaining about Mary Worth for a month.
Wouldn’t it be spectacular if Hugo dumps Dawn for a (slightly) older woman: a Colombian bombshell named Fabiana? Who flashes her giant emerald ring at him? Alas, ain’t gonna happen....
"Hugo and I are not like you and Iris. In other words, I'm not going to dump Hugo on Skype for a Colombian male grifter like Cousin Pedro, like you did Iris for Fabiana."
Boy, oh boy, as much as I hate him, I can't wait for Wilbur to be right.
So tired, so very tired of the wet Westons and their petty problems. Dawn's histrionic personality disorder is going to hve her flinging herself on the couch screeching "Our love is here to stay! It's such a beautiful thing! Whaaaa! Whaaaa!"
I may be over-thinking this, but...Wilbur use of the plural "relationships" suggests other partners than Iris. Anybody remember who the others were? Secondly, what is the backstory on Mrs. Weston (Dawn's mother)? Strange that Dawn with all her histrionics never refers to "Mom."
Dawn and Wilbur are not making eye contact and talking past each other's right ear. So they're not listening to each other. So the platitude-spouting forecast is: "Dreck, followed by continued dreck."
I was over a week behind on MW, so I went to Comics Kingdom on my phone. I was really confused because there were a bunch of black and white strips. Then I zoomed in and realized I was reading "Maria Worth," the Spanish-language version. I switched to the English one--and immediately regretted it. This dialogue is making me gag. It was much less painful in Spanish, when I could just get the gist of what they were saying.
So, Wilbur is a love expert, because of course he's done so well with love himself. Ugh. Just let me in there to slap both of them

I don't know about that, Dawn. You ARE wearing Iris's turtleneck.
What could possibly be in that tall, skinny carton behind Wilbur? Ultra Skim Scotch-flavor Creamer?
Hahaha....scorch!
Why does Wilbur always look like he has his nose pressed against a glass? Either than or he looks like he has a pig nose.
And the gloves are off...

Nothing like father and daughter talking about sexual relationships.
Uh oh... Wilbur's striking out with Dawn. Time for Mary to knock on the door with a plate of gluten-free cookies.
Wow, Dawn dunks on Wilbur.
You gonna take that, Willie? You gonna let her talk to her father like that?
Crush her, Wilbur. Let her know who's boss and crush her so she'll never forget it.
Ha ha, this could get really interesting!
But, of course, it won't.

when Dawn calls you out for your failures in relationships... yikes.

If Dawn and Hugo were like Iris and Wilbur, then that means Dawn has to have a relative with a chemical dependency like Tommy...oh wait... Wilbur.....
