Mary Worth 3523

"Your tree is lovely, Mary, but you should see the trees I can make when I'm sober!"

Photo credit: Louise! Thank you so much.

I can't help but wonder about the person who built this...

Today's Boldface Haiku is titled

"Grandma Listens To The Dr. Phil Show Without Her Hearing Aids".

Right! Own...
Different purpose.
Sober serious!
Glad.

Louise... the only thing better than your photo would be if you tell us you took your 5 bottles from the bottom row!

Louise, life imitates art!

I wonder if the store manager is one of us. If so, identify yourself and take a bow!

Just before clicking to see today's comments, I glimpsed the panel that Wanders had displayed from yesterday's strip and misread Mary's announcement as "I made BLUBBERY cobbler this morning." Maybe that was Gram's secret ingredient?

Louise, thank you for the laugh of the day! And Scottie McW., “Life imitates art” - hahahahaha!

Again with the teensy-weensy plates. I don’t see a fork, or Mary’s right hand. Is she poking Tommy’s left hip with it.

Tommy has mastered the three essential words in any conversation with Mary: “You were right.” That’s how Dr. Jeff has made it through all these years.

One more thing - what happened to the candy canes that were on her Christmas tree on Monday? Could they be the secret ingredient in her blubbery, er, blueberry, cobbler? (A tip of the cobbler cap to Yahoonski)

Nance, on first read I missed the subtlety of your BFH title. Superb!

Mary to Tommy: "Shut up! You had me at 'Mary, you were right' "

With the holidays upon us, maybe someone will buy Tommy a shirt with a collar, and a gift card to Supercuts.

When I saw this display at the Dave's market in my neighborhood, I kept looking around for a Tommy Beedie look-alike, but none materialized. I kept imagining Dave's markets (a fixture in NE Ohio) offering a "build a 7-up Holiday display!" webinar to employees. Wish I'd been there when they were putting it together. Thanks, everyone for your comments. You make my day!
