I thought if I devoted my life to their stories, I would somehow find out who I really am. But all I have found out is that my mouth is common, my Frisbee™ skills are not cool, and my cat isn't as great as other people's dogs. Even Estelle's falling for Arthur Zero's scam did not protect me from the Send-Yourself-Money-with-Zelle scam. What's the point of it all?

This has to be a very meta experience for June Brigman. To have Toby evaluating her work must be both gratifying and stressful at the same time. However, I'm quite sure that one thing June has never said is, "I have a keen eye." I'm pretty sure she is more likely to say, "My eye is savvy."

I am actually really enjoying this story so far. I can relate with Cal's mother. I am hopeful that his experience at SRCc will inspire Cal to study, learn and achieve his full potential. What I don't want, though, is for him to start hanging out with bad inflences... like his teacher.

Awww, Brenda drew her teacher. What a great student. Unless the assignment was to draw someone who inspires you. Then she's just a kiss up.

I'm actually looking forward to these classroom scenes. Since they are probably inspired by June Brigman's real life experience as a college level art instructor, they should be full of nuanced story telling. Of course, the students are based on real people, so it could be humiliating for her real life students, which I am also looking forward to.

"Have you gotten a good collection of eager minds?" will definitely be nominated for a Worthy Award this year. I am certain Toby's lectures are intellecutally stimulating and exhilarating, stoking young imaginations and firing their future success as leaders and artists. I only hope we get to attend a class soon!
