Spreading a tub of insincere flattery an inch thick doesn’t appear to be getting Jannie the free ride she counted on. She’s going to have to put out a little more effort. Or is “put out” too family unfriendly?
The windows appear to be facing outward, which makes it seem as if the classroom is outside. I'm sure the weather in Santa Royale is often nice enough to have class outside.
So many things I've been wanting to comment on, but haven't had time. Like, Michael, get a flipping clue. And the way Jannie holds that e-cig, especially ion 1/16 when the first frame looks like she's sticking the lit end into her lip, and then the second frame where she looks like she's putting on lipstick. And I love how different Jannie looks when she's being cool, calculating, blowing-off-Michael (literally)-and plotting-against-Ian Jannie, and sweet, innocent, Ian-Cameron-is-amazing Jannie.
Yeah, June is not too subtle with the "kids use cell phones too much" concept. I mean, I work on a college campus, and yes, you see kids everywhere looking at their phones, but not every students is walking alone staring at their phone and not interacting with anyone else.
Speaking of which, TimP, I happen to be the undergraduate adviser for a UC English Department (not sure whether it's a "third-tier" one or not), and I very much resemble your recent remarks. Our lit classes are not easy. Don't be dissing literature. :) Having said that, though, as other's have noted, Santa Royale seems to be a community college or something (emphasis on the "something").

"Assignments Are For Losers".
Jannie?
Yes?
Didn't assignment.
All right?
"You didn't turn in your assignment. Is everything all right?"
"Oh Professor Cameron, you big silly, I won't be turning in any assignments. I've got you in my pocket. So just give me my A and we can both move on."

“Jannie, you didn’t turn in your assignment. You neglected praising my insightful, riveting lecture last Thursday. Is everything all right?”

Sad to say, I walk around like that with my cellphone, reading the comments left here on Mary Worth and Me. Because I was raised right, that’s why.
Glad to see the "bangs and overalls" look is coming back. I own a pair of overalls that I loved wearing back in 1975..
I’m thinking that SRCC is akin to Trump University.
Regina-
Yes, but less expensive and more prestigious.
@meg
And accredited.

Do you suppose that the Trump University student body shouts ‘Trump U! Trump U!’ at the games? Might be divisive.
